Abandon Architectures [NAME] Publications_Object Aside Series

We find ourselves living victims within a world of ‘structural residues’, occupying an environment that has been materially, graphically and linguistically shaped by previous generations.

Abandon Architectures reflects upon El Ultimo Grito’s interest in how contemporary culture incorporates, re-uses and re-interprets the systems and structures it has inherited. Within this context the challenge is to create new ‘objects’, which can be typologically disentangled from our conventional (learned) understandings of the world, and thus offer alternative ways to live, work and communicate.
